Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off from Wickenby at 2155 hrs detailed to attack targets in Nurnberg. On the outbound flight fell victim to the guns of a Ju88 flown by Hptm Gerhard Raht of 4/NJG3 South West of Bonn near F.F Ida at 0026 hrs. The aircraft crashed on Holzheim. There were no survivors. The aircraft was Hptm Raht's 28th victim. |
