| Reason for Aircraft Loss | In trouble immediately after take off, stalled & crashed at Lower Brailes near Banbury. Mrs. Righton, a Red Cross nurse who was cycling nearby, risked her own life in an effort to rescue the crew from the blazing aircraft. |
