Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off from Wellesbourne Mountford for a Navigation exercise which went well until the crew returned to base at 1237 hrs. While on finals a flap pin snapped. The Pilot at the controls made an heroic effort to overshoot and gain height but with his aircraft at an unusual angle of attack he lost control at 150 feet and crashed . There were n o survivors |
