Miscellaneous Information
Paul was born on 17 April 1914 at Cleveland, Ohio, USA. His father, retired, was born at New London, Ohio and Mary at Cleveland. He had two brothers John M. and Ltnt. Nicholas J. Kelly. The schools he attended were Waverley and Detroit 1919-1928 and West High school 1928-1931. He then travelled with his parents until June 1933, then took a special Chemistry Course. The sports Paul enjoyed were golf, shooting and hunting. He worked as a superintendent at an Electro Plating Company in Cleveland, 1933-1940 before enlisting on 17 October 1940. |
After training Paul was posted to the U.K. and embarked on 29 June 1941 from Halifax, arriving at 3 PRC on 29 July. 1941, then 19 OTU on 3 August 1941. Very sadly Paul sadly then lost his life from there on 9 October 1941. |
