Het vleigtuig de Lancaster MkI LL882 van het 463 (RAAF) Sqn was tijdens de terugulucht na bombardement op Rijsel neergeschoten Messerschmitt Duitse nachtjager. Translation "During the night of May 10-11, 1944, a British-Australian bomber crashed into a clay pit at the Dumoulin Brickworks in the Hagebos district of Langemark. The aircraft, Lancaster MkI LL882 of 463 (RAAF) Squadron, was shot down by a Messerschmitt German night fighter during the return flight after a bombing raid on Lille. All seven crew members were killed." |
