| Reason for Aircraft Loss | Aircraft took off from Little Horwood for an Evening Exercise. During the flight , the starboard engine caught fire and all effort to extinguish the flames failed At 1850 hrs, while attempting to make a forced landing the aircraft struck some trees at Beachampton Rectory near Buckingham. One of the trees bears the marks to this day (see photo). |
