Miscellaneous Information
Enlisted in the Territorial Army on 25 Apr 1939 and served in rhe Royal Artillery. Fought with the B.E.F in France and was lucky to escape via Cherbourg when France fell. After his return to England he was posted to India, then Burma with 14th Army. Transferred to RAF while at home on leave in 1941. |
