| Born 14 May 1914 Oldham, Lancashire. Known to his family as Ellis, he was employed as a charge hand at Platt Brothers. He lived at Egyptian Street, Lees in Oldham, Lancashire. Ellis enjoyed playing darts in his spare time. |
