Miscellaneous Information
Kenneth was born in Stratford, Ontario on 29 December 1920. His father was born In Mitchell, Ontario and worked as a Conductor for C.N.R. and his mother was born in Clifford, Ont. He had one brother, Donald. The schools Kenneth attended were: Romeo, Stratford 1925-1934 (Matric); Collegiate, Stratford 1934-1940. ( Senior Matric X11) University of Toronto 1941-1942 (Chemical engineering). He was a C.O.T.C cadet at the University of Toronto. 1941-1942. Kenneth’s sport interests were swimming, golf, tennis, skating and baseball. |
He enlisted on 1 September 1942 and after training he embarked from Halifax on 5 March 1944 arriving at 3 PRC in the U.K. on 15 March 1944. He was then at 9(0) AFU 18 April 1944, 11 Base 10 August 1944, and 166 Squadron 16 October 1944. He lost his life exactly one month later. |
