Miscellaneous Information
Edward was born at Rochester, New York on 4 December 1914. Both parents were born in Warsaw, Poland and both were deceased. His mother died in 1917 and his father in 1930. His brother John Casimer Dynarski is shown as his next of kin and other siblings were: Frank, (changed surname to Don) Staff Sgt. in US Navy, Casemir, US Merchant Marines, Anthony, US Merchant Marines and sisters Josephine and Anne. Another child, Joseph Dzwoniarski had died in 1910. They mostly went by the surname Dynarski. He went to #18 Public school 1919-1928, Benjamin Franklin High School 1928-1932, Mechanical Institute 1932-1933 (machine design) and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute 1934-1934 (heating and ventilation). He became an assembler at the American Laundry Machine Corporation in Rochester, N.Y. Edward’s occupation was shown as an Air Conditioning Engineer. He took a one month course in 1935 at the citizen’s Military Training Camp. The sports he was involved in were baseball, swimming, skating, golf and fishing. His other interests were mathematical work and navigation. |
Edward enlisted in Canada on 20 August 1941 (while the US was still neutral) and after training embarked for the U.K. on 21 August 1941. He arrived at 3 PRC on 2 August 1942, 9(0) AFU 13 September 1942, 30 OTU 28 September 1942, 1656 CU 31 January 1943 and 12 Squadron 13 March 1943. He lost his life exactly one month later. |
