Miscellaneous Information
| Born December 1917 in Basingstoke. The Dudman family lived in London and at the time of his loss James was living at 370 Upper Richmond Road, Putney, London. Their Father was an Assistant Master at Middlesex County Secondary School, Ealing. |

| George Edward Dudman (1916-84), the oldest of the four Brothers, also served with the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry, later the Royal Artillery, and survived the War. |
| James was a Pupil at Merchant Taylor's School, Norwood, Hertfordshire and is remembered on their WW2 Memorial in the Great Hall. His Brother Peter John Dudman is also listed: www.iwm.org.uk/memorials/name/1625333 |
| Tragically, on the night of 26 September 1940, in a Luftwaffe raid, their parents, William James Dudman and Nora Annie Dudman, and George's wife Dorigen Elinor McKern Dudman were killed at 13 Inglis Road, Ealing. |
