Miscellaneous Information
Keith was born on 9 January 1921 at Campbelton, New Brunswick. His father was a carpenter and was born at Port Daniel, P.Q. and his mother was born at Esciminac, P.Q. He had one brother Lawrence. Keith attended Cayuga Drive School, N. Falls 1928-1934, Grammar School, and then Lasalle High School, N. Falls, 1934-1940, High School (both in USA). He spent the last nineteen years before enlistment in Niagara Falls, New York. He enjoyed many different sports Including football , baseball, softball, swimming and hockey and his hobby was making model aircraft . Keith worked in carpentry for John Smith & Son 1940-1941 and then contracted to work with his father from 1941 until enlistment on 10 November 1941. |
After initial training he embarked from New York on 12 October 1943, arriving in the U.K. at 3 PRC on 30 October 1943. He was then at 14 (P) AFU 22 February 1944, 83 OTU 9 May 1944 and 125 Squadron 13 October 1944. Keith was to lose his life on 16 March 1945. |
