Reason for Loss | Aircraft made a successful bombing run and on the homeward journey, Billy was pulled out of his turret by his fellow crew members having 'passed out' (in the words of the ORB entry). Artificial respirations were carried out throughout the remainder of the journey but he was dead on arrival back at base. It is not clear what he died of. |
