Born 5 June 1917, Colcheste. His father James was killed on 30 June 1917 at Flanders. Bessie & James had married in Yarmouth in 1916. Bessie remarried in 1947 and became Mrs. Bromley, she died in Portsmouth in April 1983. In 1939 Percival was living with his mother in Raleigh Gardens, Lambeth, London. He was a clerk for a chartered Accountant. |

Reason for Loss | Aircraft took of from Woodhall Spa detailed to attack targets in Hamburg. Aircraft lost without trace. Shot down by a night-fighter flown by Oblt. Ludwig Becker of 12./NJG1 15km East of Texel over the North Sea at 0310 hrs. This was Becker's 44th and last victory, he was killed on 26 February 1943, when his night-fighter crashed into the North Sea. |
