Miscellaneous Information
James was born on 6 June 1920 at Montreal. He had three siblings: Mary Irene, Frances Colleen and a brother Sgt.John Emmett in RCAF. He attended Catholic High school 1927-1934 followed by D’arcy McGee High school 1934-1939 in Montreal. He took part in most general sports. There is no occupation shown on his enlistment papers. He enlisted on 27 March 1940. |
After training he was sent to the U.K. and embarked from Canada on 13 December 1941. He arrived at 3PRC on 26 December 1941 and went on to 1 SS on 24 January 1942, 19 OTU 25 March 1942 then 106 Squadron 18 June 1942. |
