Op 20 October 1943 werd de Britse Lancaster ED555 van het RAF 100 Squadron neergeschoten nabij Eelderwolde. De zevenkoppige bemanning kwam hierbij om het leven. Zij vielen voor onze Vrijheid.
Translation "On 20/10/1943 Lancaster ED555, of 100 Sqn was shot down near Eelderwolde. The seven crew died. They fell for our freedom." |
