Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off from Fiskerton at 1851 hrs detailed to attack targets in Koln. Reportedly shot down by a night fighter the aircraft crashing between Kessel and Helden (Limburg). Claimed by Maj Werner Streib of Stab1/NJG1 Kessel and Venlo area at 2113 hrs. Crew initially buried in Venlo Military Cemetery, reinterred on 22 October 1947. |
