Reason for Loss | Claimed shot-down at 19:32 by a night-fighter flown by Uffz. Helmut Janicke of 6./NJG1, 25km SSE of Dusseldorf/North of Koln at an altitude of 3,800m. (Nachtjagd Combat Archive 1944 Part 5 - Theo Boiten). Crashed and exploded on impact at Langenfeld. Those who perished were initially buried Langenfeld/Galkhausen Cemetery. Reinterred 23 May 1947. |
