Reason for Loss | Shot down by a night-fighter flown by Lt. Hans Krause, of Stab 1./NJG3, exploded and crashed in flames at 03.26 hrs at Eilvese, 7 Km NNW of Neustadt am Rubenberge. It was Krause's third victory. Sgt. Jones was found close to the crash site with a broken leg and suffering from shock. He was taken to Reserve Lazarett 1 in Hanover for treatment and it is believed he was repatriated due to the extent of his injuries. |
