Miscellaneous Information
Ralph was born on 22 July 1922 at St. Peter’s, Nova Scotia. His father was born at St. Peter’s and was a sea captain and his mother was born at River Bourgoise, Nova Scotia. He went to St.Peter’s school 1928-1940. His hobby was skating and motoring and he enjoyed playing softball and swimming. Ralph worked as a driver for several months and then took odd jobs until enlisting on 13 January 1941. |
After initial training he embarked from Canada on 12 November, arriving at 3 PRC 23 November 1941. He then went to 15 (P) AFU on 13 April 1942, 10 OTU. 1 July 1942 and then to 10 Sqn 15 September 1942. Sadly Ralph lost his life the following year on 31 January 1943 from 101 squadron. |
