On the night of 7th July 1941, three crews from 97 Sqn RAF Coningsby were loaned to and operated with 106 Sqn from the same base. 106 Squadron Hampden I AD735 ZN – R. Op to Monchengladbach. Shot down by a night fighter (Oblt Heinrich Griese, I/NJG1) and crashed 0210 NE of s’Hertogenbosch (Noord Brabant), Holland. Those who died are buried in Uden War Cemetery. |
