Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off at 2256hrs. Shot down by a night-fighter and crashed 0155hrs at Oijen (Noord Brabant) on the S. bank of the Maas, 7 km NNW of Oss, Holland. Unusually, the crew comprised of two navigators, namely Sgt Borthwick and Sgt Tarr. An eye witness to this crash, Jos van Koolwijk, declared that the crash site was in his village of Dreumel. |
