Miscellaneous Information
Frank was born on 28 September 1921 at Toronto, Ontario. His father was a Transport Driver born in Québec and his mother was born at Penetanguishene. The schools were St. Dunstans 1928-1935, De La Salle. 1935-1937, followed by Central Tech 1937-1938. The sports he enjoyed were swimming, skiing and shooting. Frank was employed in Electrical Assembly Machine work in 1938-1939, for Electric Tool Repair in Toronto for six months and then as a Machinist for Frank Clarke Machine Shop from 1939-1940. |
He enlisted on 28 January 1941 and after training was posted to the U.K. he embarked from Canada on 24 January 1942, arriving at 3 PRC on 10 February 1942 He was then at 1SS on 17 March 1942, 2 (O) AFU on 30 May 1942, 10 OTU on 30 June 1942, and 101 Squadron on 14 September 1942. Sadly Frank then lost his life on 31 January 1943. |
