Born 8 November 1914, Stratford, Taranaki. Norman lived in Eye Street, Invercargill and he was a fish Culturist. His mother Ada had been born in Blackburn, England. Norman enlisted on 15 June 194and , he arrived in England on 24 January 1942 aboard the MV Dunedin Star. He trained at 28 OTU Wymeswold and also at 1654 CU. |

Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off from Langar at 1828 hrs detailed to attack targets in Wilhelmshaven. Hit in the wing by Marine flak from Abt.282 Battery Horumersiel and floating Battery Arkona after being coned by searchlights. This made the aircraft lurch and it then collided with 106 Sqn Lancaster R5750, both crashing at 20.47hrs, ED330 coming down on mudflats at Hooksiel. |
