Reason for Loss | Sgt Baber was being given a lift from RAF Syerston to Newark. The vehicle was being driven by Mrs Barbara Mary Spicer of “Sylverdene”, Fosse Road, Farndon, when it ran into the back of a lorry, which had timber protruding some four feet beyond its rear. The driver failed to see the protruding timber due to blackout lighting. |
