Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off on a 6hr cross country sortie. At 1309hrs the crew reported by means of syko their position to be over Rhyl. At 1458hrs Silloth transmitted a bearing after which nothing was heard. The weather in the Irish Sea was inclement with a westerly gale, cloud base at 800ft and heavy rain. |
