Reason for Loss | From Station ORB: "13.1.45 - 1808 hrs – An explosion was heard from the direction of the bomb dump. Investigations proved that a fusing shed in the bomb dump had blown up unfortunately killing four (sic) of the armoury personnel. Long delay 500lb bombs had been dispersed by the explosion and the Bomb Disposal authorities had been informed accordingly." |
