Reason for Loss | working in the Group Met Office at HQ 4 Group when she was taken ill and admitted to York County Hospital on 23 March 1942 with tuberculosis meningitis. She died on 2 April. Her service career had been brief. Formerly a teacher in Blyth she had joined the WAAF on 29 September 1941 and was immediately commissioned. |
