Operation | Lincolnshire Standard, November 11th 1944 ,reports that she and Sapper Harry Jones, aged 30, 1895173, were killed when they were struck from behind by a lorry at 7.10 p.m. on November 2nd whilst walking along Tumby Road, Coningsby. ACW1 Matthews died at the scene, and Sapper Jones died in Boston Hospital at 01.35 the next day. |
