Reason for Loss Killed in an enemy air raid on RAF Waterbeach on 3rd Feburary 1941. Died of his injuries ten days later, bringing the death toll to three. A German Dornier Do17Z dropped nine bombs alongside the westerly hangar, damaging the runway, just one month after the station opened and a month before it was due to recieve 99 Squadron, which went ahead to plan.
