Reason for Loss | Yorkshire Post 12/07/1941: Canadian Airman's Death. A Canadian airman whose parents emigrated from South Elmsall 30 years ago had been buried at Moorthorpe Cemetery. He was Joseph Edward Armishaw, aged 24, a flight mechanic, who was taken ill suddenly and died in a military hospital. Armishaw's father was a miner at Frickley Colliery and is now farming in British Columbia. |
