Reason for Loss Fell from the window of room 14 at the Stag and Pheasant Hotel in Leicester, which he was sharing with two others on the night of 7-8 September. The others awoke and found him not in the room but concluded he had already left and therefore left themselves without raising any alarm. John was found lying on the pavement outside by a police officer at 04:45 and was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary where he died of his injuries.
