Reason for Loss | Lincolnshire Echo June 30th 1942 reported that he was found hanging by a piece of twine from the iron ladder leading to the emergency exit of an air raid shelter at an R.A.F Station. A verdict from the Coroner of 'suicide while the balance of the mind was disturbed' was challenged by F/O William Sellars, RCAF, on the grounds that it was 'possible that someone else may have done it.' |
