Reason for Loss | Newcastle Journal March 27th 1942: "R.A.F. Absentee’s Suicide. Aaron Miller (24) R.A.F. of South Parade, Choppington, gassed himself two days after he had taken lodgings at Denmark Place, Holborn, London. At the St. Pancras inquest yesterday, when a verdict of “Suicide while the balance of his mind was disturbed” was recorded, an R.A.F. officer stated that Miller had been absent without leave. He had been an absentee on a previous occasion about two months ago and he seemed to have taken the punishment to heart." |
